Snacks for the brain

Turn your TV into a delightful object.

ClackSnack turns your TV into a Display of 405 little machines, inspired by the clattering departure boards of old train stations.

Choose what they show from the Controller on your phone. Then watch it arrive.

405 little machines. 27 across, 15 down.
Why Snacks?

Little bites for curious minds.

Not every moment needs a grand adventure. Sometimes all it takes is a curious question, a clever word, a little creativity, or something unexpected to make you smile.

We call them snacks because they're small, satisfying morsels for the brain. Something to think about. Something to make. Something to laugh about. Something to share.

Take one. Take a handful. Pass them around.

There's always room for another.

Snack
One thing for the board to show: a few words, a drawing, or a photo reimagined for the board.
Pack
A bag of Snacks that play together, in order or shuffled.
Spread
What a Display plays, like everything you've put on the table for the room.
A little something for every occasion

Delight in what you see, do, say and make.

Curate

Delight in what you see.

Fill your Display with things worth looking at. A few thoughtful words, a curious question, a drawing, or a whole Pack of little surprises. Arrange them into a Spread and let the machines do their thing.

And when you're ready for something new, the Snack Stand (coming soon) will have fresh collections to discover.

Play

Delight in what you do.

Turn the room into a game night. Guess words as they clack into place with Whirrrdy, race to answer trivia, solve a crossword together, or draw something wonderfully questionable in Clackadoodle.

Everyone plays from their own phone, while the Display brings the whole room into the game.

Gather

Delight in what you say.

Sometimes the best thing on the board is a question that gets everyone talking.

Gather (coming soon) will bring different ways to spark conversation and share stories, whether you're around the dinner table, hosting friends, or settling in with your book club.

A little help getting a good conversation started. Where it goes is up to you.

Create

Delight in what you make.

Write something worth sharing. Draw a picture, one little machine at a time. Or take a photograph and Clackify it into something made for the board.

There are only 405 machines to work with, and that's part of the fun. A little constraint can lead to some delightfully unexpected things.

Respect the 405

405 machines. Not a pixel more.

Every word, drawing and game finds its way through the same 27-by-15 board.

Each little machine has its own rhythm, turning through its flaps until the right one arrives. Together, they make something that's rather more than the sum of its parts.

ClackSnack isn't trying to be a sharper screen. It has other ambitions.

How it works

A Display on the wall. A Controller in your hand.

  1. 01

    Your TV becomes the Display.

Open ClackSnack on your TV. A pairing code appears, ready for your phone.

Your familiar screen becomes a board of 405 little machines, each with its own rhythm and a small part to play.

  2. 02

    Your phone becomes the Controller.

Scan the code to bring the two together. Now you can choose what appears on the Display, create something of your own, or start a game.

Your phone handles the choices. The Display brings them to life.

  3. 03

    Make yourself a Spread.

Gather your favorite Snacks and Packs into a Spread. Play them in order, shuffle them, or let them loop.

You can change things whenever you like. The little machines are always ready for something new.
